Join Fire Smart Louisville and Wildfire Partners for a Coal Creek Ranch Community Wildfire Mitigation Dumpster Day!
What: A day to remove flammable materials and outdoor clutter (both organic materials and landfill items) off your property, to improve defensible space and reduce wildfire ignition risk. Coal Creek Ranch community members will be able to access two free community dumpsters between the times of 11am and 3pm.
When: Saturday, October 24th, 2026. Dumpsters will be available from 11am to 3pm.
Where: At the Coal Creek Ranch Clubhouse, 844 Spyglass Drive, Louisville CO 80027.
How: Sign up is required but it is 100% free to participate. Register online at the event sign up page, (we are event #533 which you will need at sign up.) (Please note: we will have BOTH an organic dumpster and a landfill dumpster at this event; there is a checkbox at sign-up that says organic material only, but you can ignore that as we will have BOTH an organic dumpster and a landfill dumpster at this event.)
Who: All Coal Creek Ranch community members are invited to this event, and are encouraged to spread the word!
What can I put in the dumpsters?: These dumpsters are for wildfire mitigation and defensible space work, so any shrubs, branches, yard and garden plant waste, bark mulch, and leaf litter from within 30ft around your home go in the organic dumpster, and things like old fencing, treated lumber, stumps, flammable debris under decks and porches, wood furniture or flammable cushions go in the landfill dumpster. Please also see the below image and attached PDF for what is not accepted in each dumpster. We will be enforcing these guidelines on Dumpster Day (if dumpsters get contaminated, Wildfire Partners pays a penalty and that makes it harder to run an event like this in the future.)
Need help?: If you have things you need help transporting to the dumpsters, please reach out to Julien@boulderwatershedcollective.org. We will be coordinating help for those who need support hauling material, or moving material from trucks into the dumpsters.
Want to volunteer?: If you have a truck or trailer and are able to donate your time to help haul, please also reach out to Julien@boulderwatershedcollective.org, so we can provide community members with the extra support they need to participate in this event.

FENCE STAINING/PAINT COLORS:
All cedar perimeter fences are to be painted Sherwin Williams Quinoa 9102 (formerly Kwal Bramble Tan). All open rail fences are to be painted Sherwin Williams Moderate White 6140 (formerly Dutch Cream).
PERIMETER FENCES WHICH ABUT MAJOR ROADWAYS (Dillon Road, 88th St and Cherry St): SW Quinoa 9102 (formerly Kwal Bramble Tan)
OPEN RAIL FENCES THAT ABUT THE GOLF COURSE: Sherwin Williams Moderate White 6140 (formerly Dutch Cream).
ALL OTHER FENCES: Natural/clear cedar tones
Both colors are available from Sherwin Williams. Please refer to Coal Creek Ranch at Sherwin Williams on 670 US-287.
Notes:
1) All fences require a building permit from the City of Louisville and CCR AC approval before construction begins.
2) Double fences are not allowed.
3) Fencing that is adjacent to public spaces (streets, HOA ground, golf course, open space, etc.) must have the finished side facing the public space.
4) 6’ high privacy fencing that attaches to a 48” golf course fence must be stepped down as per Figure 3 below.

The Little Library is open and looking for book donations! Please drop off books for any age at the Little Library located by the clubhouse.
