Coal Creek Ranch - Community Garage Sale Follow Up
What a beautiful day it was! We hope everyone had a successful and fun event.
The highest sales we heard were around $450, with many participants averaging closer to $300. It seemed that those who were set up early and had the most to offer saw the best results—some eager shoppers even arrived before 8am, with a few traveling over 1.5 hours to attend!
The balloons were helpful for visibility, though it sounds like the sales themselves were the real draw. If you didn’t receive a balloon, our apologies—several popped during delivery.
We also heard that having a detailed map would have been helpful. We were initially hesitant to share all participant addresses, but it’s something we’ll look into for future events.
Thank you to everyone who helped with additional signage—it truly made a difference. As things wrap up, please help by disposing of your balloon and collecting any signage we may have missed.
For future sales, a few takeaways:
* Have a map available
* Prep and set up early
* Cluster of home sales helped, coordinate with neighbors
* Use tables to display items
* Be ready at the start (or risk missing early traffic!)
* The more you have to sell, the more successful you’ll likely be (if only have a few items, option to coordinate with another participant)
Thanks again for being part of such a great community event! We loved seeing the kids participating and enjoying the sales too!
Don't forget, we are having a Salvation Army drop off at the clubhouse this Saturday, April 25, from 1pm - 4:30pm, for those items that did not sell.
